Glory Hole Dwarven Mine is an ambitious adventure from Judges Guild. Like many Judges Guild projects it takes on a large subject (a dwarven mine) and packs in hours of combat and exploration in a single game book.
Glory Hole Dwarven Mine is set in the huge City State of the Invincible Overlord Campaign. (It is located just outside of the City State.) Although it adds nicely to this legendary setting, Glory Hole can be picked up and dropped into any game world without modifications. Any DM who wants to do his own Mines of Moria scenario could just grab Glory Hole Dwarven Mine and run with it. (In fact, the scenario borrows heavily from one of Tolkien's best chapters.)
One drawback of this module is that the cover gives away the final battle scene...but then any players familiar with Moria will be expecting it, won't they?
There are many ways to add to this module, or use it as a springboard to further adventures. A DM might use it as an entrance into the D&D "underdark," or adapt its final encounter as a believable "gate between the worlds" scenario. Judges Guild never imagines everything for the DM, leaving lots of room for your own personality.
At the price listed here, any DM or collector should consider grabbing Glory Hole Dwarven Mine.
