There are some things to love about this publication. There are also a few annoying snags hidden in its pages.
The best part of this book is that it has been made for a DM to actually use. It is bound with a spiral binder spine to allow it to lay open on a table without tearing apart. It also has a number of interesting quests by James Ward, one of the game's living legends.
The part about this publication that annoys me most is its professional quality. Yes, you heard me right. I do not like snazzy, professional maps...particularly ones created with computer graphics. I much prefer the hand of an artist...even an amateur one.
Fast Forward games went under in the tidal wave that engulfed most of the fledgling D20 publishers. I have a nice collection of their product lines and I usually find some sort of gem hidden in every publication. Treasure Quests is no exception.
Note that the spiral binding is covered with a heavy cover...it is not exposed to get flattened in your gaming bag. It works, and I wish there were more game books designed in the same format.
